Who in the Hell Was This Guy Last Night?
Because you can never have enough links (and I’m busy) -
Basketball:
- Bobcats’ Bell may need season-ending surgery – hate to see former Sun Raja Bell go down with a possibly season-ending wrist injury but it makes me feel better about the J-Rich/Dudley for Bell/Diaw trade so I suppose that’s a minor plus.
- Dragic finds his confidence in high-scoring affair – I wouldn’t have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes, but last night Goran Dragic scored 21 points and recorded a +32. I’m too shocked to write anything so read Schwartz – you’ll love it.
- Wolves’ injury situation worsens: Jefferson out too - the MASH unit that is the Minnesota Timberwolves might have an opening day lineup of Ryan Hollins, Brian Cardinal, Sasha Pavlovic, Ramon Sessions, and Corey Brewer. 3 of those guys are new to the Wolves and one of them is Brian Cardinal. Can’t wait to see you guys in Phoenix November 1st!
- Could be Deepest Spurs Team Ever – this headline is to me as the headline “Empire Building Second Death Star” was to Luke Skywalker.
- Dickau, Powell cut after Suns win – I’ll miss them both so much. I will however say that Carlos Powell should be on this team instead of Taylor Griffin.
Football:
- Packers fill RB void by bringing back Green – nothing quite as reliable as a 32 year-old running back who hasn’t been productive since 2006. Enjoy your stay in Green Bay Ahman Green.
- Fisher wears Colts jersey at charity event – Jeff Fisher wore a Peyton Manning jersey at a charity event to introduce Tony Dungy, telling the crowd he did so because he wanted to “feel like a winner.” He’s since been forced to apologize. Dear everyone – please stop being so lame and easily offended. Love, Scott.
Finally – I’d like it declared in writing that if K-State somehow wins 2 of their next three games (home v. Colorado, @ Oklahoma, home v. KU) I will make the trip back to Manhattan, KS for the November 14th game against Mizzou. Chances are you will not see me in Manhattan on November 14th.
