The NBA season is drawing near and the Suns have opened five on five voluntary scrimmages over at US Airways Center. Most of the squad has been out playing together with the exception of Goran Dragic (playing in Eurobasket with Slovenia) and Leandro Barbosa (just finished up a gold for Brazil at the FIBA Americas championship) – both whom (per Jared Dudley’s twitter) will be back in action next Tuesday. In their place it seems that Phoenix residents Eddie House and Greg Ostertag have been getting in a bit of run with the Suns. Now the former ASU product and Suns player House already has a job playing for the Celtics but Ostertag is still searching for a job and per Paul Coro “has interest from an NBA Team.” My response? Perhaps Ostertag can teach Robin Lopez some of these moves:
Oh Greg Ostertag, you’re so laughable that I can’t even hate you for being a Jayhawk. What he actually could help Ro-Lo with is maybe how to block a shot – since Unfrozen Caveman basketball player did rank 5th in blocked shots in the ‘98-99 season. Go get ‘em Greg.
He is laughable, AND I hate him as much as any redlegger except Nick Collison, Kirk Hinrich, and Aqib Talib. Those are the only three redleggers that go beyond passive “wouldn’t-piss-on-their-gums-if-their-teeth-were-on-fire” hatred to active “would-rip-out-their-eyes-and-piss-on-their-brains” hatred.
God how I hate them.
