Do you love SoD? Do you sometimes find yourself confused as to what in the hell our recurring columns and references are about? Well we are here to answer your prayers and provide you with the necessary definitions to allow you to navigate this blog like an old pro.
Recurring Columns:
5:01 – the time every Friday where we designate the weekend’s honorary drinker. You know, like a parade marshal, except cooler.
White Fred of the Week - in the name of the “talented” man who tried to sell Howard a car – we honor a person who is incompetent at their job and blissfully unaware of that fact.
Song of the Day -we look to expand your mind by bringing more music into your life.
Alcohol Delusion Theater -Zim leads you on a booze induced romp through the sports world.
Random Running Diary – an SoD writer gives you random commentary on an event that wouldn’t normally deserve a diary.
Football Pick ‘Em -if you can’t figure out what this is then I cannot help you.
Cupdate – weekly update of our pick ‘em results…except with an adorable name.
Becoming a Villan – the continuing diary of Scott Howard as he turns himself into an Aston Villa fan.
SoD Terminology:
SoD - it’s the name of the site. S(easons) o(f) D(iscontent). I hope you’ve got that one down.
SoD Cup – the name of the contrived competition between the writers that involves us picking games, seasons, and whatever the hell else we want to pick.
Steamy Latin Looks – the nickname we gave to Jets QB Mark Sanchez.
